Instructional Video – How to Tie a Balthus Knot

This video was shot using a Sony Cyber Shot camera and edited in iMovie. Over the course of two days I captured about 30 minutes’ worth of footage. Before the initial process of shooting, my plan was to capture footage of me performing the steps with the shirt and tie on a table as oppose to around to on me. This approach just seemed much more organic and meaningful. I changed scenes using various camera angles every 4-6 seconds. This is to increase using engagement. Story elements was also added to the this instructional video for the purpose of user engagement. Story allots users the opportunity to identify with the content on a personal level.
